A series of sculptures exploring the idea of space being bridged or structures being supported. An allegory or just a series of shapes that is in the eye of the beholder.

The work is a collaboration between Bernard Pearson (a sculptor) and Ian Mitchell (a painter) and is created in our own studios in Wincanton. Each piece is hand cast and painted, therefore no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
The pieces are produced in cast stone and painted in acrylics, oils & ink.
As a sculptor I work in shape and texture. I get my buzz from creating the form, making shapes tell their own story. Ian is a painter and a clever one at that, so to have sculpture painted may not be new, but the way we go about it is. This gives our work a unique dimension. Bernard Pearson
